Artist Uses 1,300 Punching Bags For Muhammad Ali Tribute

Muhammad Ali Tribute, "reALIze" made of 1,300 punching bagsMichael Kalish, an artist based out of Los Angeles, used 1,300 punching bags to create a tribute to Muhammad Ali, called “reALIze.”

“I love turning ordinary objects into extraordinary works of art,” Kalish said. “This is an opportunity of a lifetime and I’m honored I could create this monument to pay homage to such an incredible man.”

If viewed from any angle other than the front, “reALIze” looks like a mess of stainless steel wires and punching bags.  When viewed from the front, the portrait of Muhammad Ali becomes crystal clear.
