Great job Navy and Seals! Thank you President Obama for approving this rescue mission. It’s about time we treated these pirate thugs for what they are….cowardly criminals in the only language they understand….force vs force…meet brute force with superior brute force. We should have taken them out as soon as they attacked us.

These pirates are a serious threat. They turned one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes into one of its most dangerous, and we can’t let them prevent the rest of the world from doing business in that area. It’s about time we finally woke up and stop being pushed around by them. Did it bring more risk to future hostages? Probably, because these bastards are now threatening to avenge their fallen criminal buddies.
But if you chose to be a pirate and steal from others you take the chance of being killed. You live by the sword you die by the sword. The world must unite and declare war on pirate thugs, because they have declared war on the rest of the world.

I find it ironic that the ship taken hostage was bringing food aid to Somalia, Rwanda and Uganda. What have these pirates done for their own country lately? They bring more violence and sorrow on an already suffering people .. their own people!

We couldn’t let them bully us any longer and allow them to kill one of our citizens! Unfortunately, deadly force is the only thing these Somali thugs understand. Most of you forget Blackhawk down. Our solders were killed during the Clinton era by the same thugs that have now become pirates. I am glad that we U.S took the action it did. I am only sorry that it did not happen the first day. We don’t need to negotiate with them. Lawless criminal thugs who commit such acts are not going to play by anyone’s rules but their own.

It’s about time we start sending a clear message to any terrorism threat .. that if you harm or intend to cause harm both mentally or physically the United States will not tolerate it. Lets here it for our military as they are the best and they showed it today. As for the dead pirates and the other one captured, I say this is what happens when they play with fire and is the risk that they took. You reap what you sow. We did the right thing.

This is good. I was waiting on the update on Phillips. I did see on the news also something about him supposedly jumping in the ocean tryin to swim away and the Pirate Captain jumping into the water to capture him before he escaped. But this is good. Glad to hear that he’s okay.
