I was probably one of the biggest “rap” fans until Pac died. I listened to Pac before he signed with Deathrow. When he was a backup in Digital Underground. The reason why I loved him because he could do a song about uplifting black people on track 1…then gangsta life track 2…then a reflection song on track 3…and they would all make you listen to every word…only LL, Biggie, and Chuck D could match him. Eminem…gets honorable mention with them…but you should have put 50 cent in that list…that bro can’t rap at all…but like one bro said…thanks for mentioning fat joe and lil wayne…sorry asses.

King magazine is folding and this is just to sell a few on their way out. I can tell you I sure as hell don’t count flow and schemes as well as I would lyrical content. Tupac’s words were real and reflected real life, it was not some made up bullshit with punch lines for shock value, this aint battle rap. When I want to listen to real hip hop and real words being spoken I always listen to Tupac.

I wasnt even going to justify this bullshit with a response, Tupac was the greatest ever, hands down. Biggie I think as much as he was skilled, why after just two studio ablums, one of which was kindve average, is there any dispute about who was the best? Look, when did using a lot of metaphors in your rap become the sole definition of lyrisist? Pac did some of that, but the beauty of Pacs music was the story telling, even back with 2paclypse now and put on soldiers story, close your eyes and listen to it and if you cant see the picture hes painting, youre blind and that was just in the beggining. If you dont love Tupac, you dont love hip-hop….its just that simple, Tupac embodied everything that Hip hop is…hip hop was…and what hip hop should be. From the good the bad to the ugly. Yea some shit he shouldnt have said, but he was always honest. He spoke what he felt and when you heard it you felt it, even if you loved Puffy and Biggie and Nas, if you heard it and it made you mad, you felt it and thats what it was designed to do. How many times did we hear a young black male, cursed since birth, headed for them packed jails, crack sales…you know if you love Pac, that was his Michael Jackson “HE HE” and every song he said it in, you felt it. Sometimes there is beauty and there is genius in simplicity. They study the mans music on university campuses around the country. King magazine is over rated, its soft porn with no journalistic intergrity and a real fan of hip hop would never disprespect Pac and damn sure wouldnt put Pac on a list with fucking Jim Jones.
