You can add Nicki Minaj to the list of entertainers and public figures that have spoken out about the killing of Trayvon Martin. While promoting her sophomore album, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, on Funkmaster Flex’s show, Nicki was asked about the teenager’s killing at the hands of vigilante George Zimmerman. The platinum-selling rapper said on Trayvon’s death, “If that man was black, they’d bring back the electric chair for him.”

Nicki added: “It’s heart wrenching to know some mother is home crying her eyes out, someone’s whole family has to bury a child for absoloutely nothing. And I up until just a few mintues ago thought that the murderer was convicted and I just found out he wasn’t even charged.”
