Fans of TNT’s cop drama Southland will be happy. The show was just renewed for a fifth season.
TNT’s Head of Programming Michael Wright sent a message over the weekend stating: “I’m proud today to announce that TNT has ordered 10 episodes for a fifth season of Southland, scheduled to begin in February 2013.”

With an order for 10 episodes, Southland fans will have a chance to watch Detective Lydia Adams police the streets as she prepares for motherhood.
Southland has been hailed by critics and fans alike. With the last season, the show made headway with audiences. Southland kept their loyal following hooked and still attracted new younger viewers into the fold. Let’s see if Southland can keep building when it premieres February 2013.
