Nas and Amy Winehouse struck up a friendship after being introduced to each other through their mutual friend and producer Salaam Remi. Winehouse dedicated a song to Nas on her smash sophomore album Back To Black called “Me And Mr. Jones.” The pair recorded the track “Like Smoke” back in 2008, although it wasn’t released until after Winehouse’s death in 2011. Nas recently paid tribute to Amy Winehouse in the video for their record “Cherry Wine.”

The late soul singer’s father Mitch Winehouse told a newspaper,  “Amy and Nas had a special relationship… The donation of £1 per ticket will help us continue our support of disadvantaged young people, and we at the Foundation very much appreciate this magnificent gesture.”
