Well it looks like the New York Knicks will not go 82-0 this season. The Memphis Grizzlies (7-1) took over the title of best record in the NBA by beating the only remaining undefeated team 105-95 in Memphis Friday night (11/16). Power forward Zach Randolph had 20 points and 15 rebounds and center Marc Gasol added 24 points as the Grizzlies manhandled the undersized Knicks inside. Carmelo Anthony added 20 points in a losing effort.

The Knicks missed tying a franchise record for consecutive victories to start a season. They started the 1993-94 season at 7-0on the way to the NBA Finals. Memphis tied a franchise record winning their 7th straight game. They finished out an impressive week beating the Knicks and the NBA finalists from a year ago the Miami Heat and Oklahoma City Thunder.
