Remember Lil’ Flip?? He was that lucky charmed rapper from Houston whose biggest hit “Game Over” would signify his career
years months after its release. Well, he was arrested for drug and gun possession in Louisiana Wednesday morning.
The rapper, whose real name is Wesley Eric Weston, was pulled over for doing 86 in a 75 mph zone. The car was searched, and police found marijuana and a Bushmaster AR-15 assault rifle. According to The Shreveport Times, he was charged with “third-offense possession of marijuana, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance and speeding.”
His passenger, Olanza Sanders, was charged with illegal possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Lil Flip is still in jail being held on a $35,000 bond, while Sanders is free on a $25,000 bond. Welp.
I guess we will see what comes about for Lil’ Flip later on, if anything at all.
So here’s what: I can never understand why rappers want to ride around with these big giant guns. What do they need them for? And if they’re going to be doing some illegal nonsense, why not adhere to the easiest rules and, I don’t know, drive the speed limit?
Let’s see which obscure rapper gets caught next. Chamillionaire maybe?
