Angela Bassett and Herbie Hancock are among the celebs set to attend “The Inaugural Purple Ball,” one of 10 official balls scheduled for inauguration night, and an evening intended to celebrate “the spirit of bipartisanship and diversity.”      

Leaders from entertainment, politics, business, the military, media, non-profit and community organizations from across the country will attend the exclusive formal dinner occurring on Jan. 20 at the Fairmont Hotel in Washington D.C.       

The evening, a benefit for the ERACISM Foundation founded by Louis Gossett Jr., will include a tribute to the troops of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars and war veterans.      

Other celeb attendees will include Patricia Arquette, Amy Brenneman, Josh Lucas, Ed Harris, Ashley Judd, Kate Walsh, John Cusack, Brendan Fraser, Lisa Marie Presley, Bradley Cooper Tim Robbins, and Susan Sarandon.      

A presidential toast will be made by Hill Harper, as guests “will be feted to a delicious champagne dinner, surrounded by exquisitely laid lush purple velvet and breathtaking crystals,” according to a press release.
