A bunch of catty girls fighting for a prize isn’t anything we haven’t heard before. When it comes to reality television it seems all the new fresh ideas have been done already. The trick is finding a different twist. With Pretty Wicked, I guess that twist is having a model host and model judge tell these girls whose cut and who can stay?
Honestly the selling point for this show is the hilarious comments made by the cast, who say crazy statements with such seriousness. I must say a girl flipping out about her dog being abused by a blind man is oddly entertaining and disturbing all at once. I do like the fact that Mia Tyler is a judge. I may be partial because her daddy is from my hometown of Boston or the fact that she’s a plus size woman in an industry dominated by extremely thin females… I don’t know you choose.
The host seems to keep things on a real level amongst the madness, but I will say this: if you’re looking for a reality show that is classier than most you won’t find it here. It’s got all the stops, as most reality television do, it’s just that this one does an amazing job with the makeup for the contestants. I could see this show getting interesting if fans make a tally of all the extremely ignorant rants they hear.
