A rapper’s release date used to refer to their album or CD, but now it’s becoming synonymous with the end of their jail bid. We’re in an era where incarceration of hip-hop stars has become a marketing tool for reality TV shows that ignore the actual time they spend on lockdown or how it effects them afterward.
