The former CEO of Motown records was arrested today on charges he smashed an-off duty New Jersey cop with a beer bottle and stole his badge during a fight at Times Square club BB King’s, The Post has learned.

Entertainment honcho Kedar Massenburg — arrested under the first name William — was slapped with robbery and assault raps for allegedly pummeling Asbury Park Officer Sean Bradforth, who was seeking the singer’s autograph at the West 42nd Street nightspot around 11:15 p.m. Monday.

“I will f- – -ing kill you!” Massenburg, 46, screamed after breaking a bottle over Bradforth’s head and holding a shard of glass to his throat, the cop claims.

When Bradforth, 37, flashed his badge, Massenburg grabbed it and fled, police said.

Bradforth was hobbling on crutches with his head stitched and bandaged at his home in Neptune yesterday. Citing the investigation, he would say only, “Sometimes you come across people that . . . are arrogant.”

But a source close to Massenburg sang a different tune, saying Bradforth barged into the dressing room of popular soul singer Joe Thomas to get his autograph.

When Massenburg told him he’d have to wait for Joe to get changed, “the guy went ballistic,” the source said. Pushes were exchanged, and “that was the extent of it.”

Massenburg is 5-foot-3 and about 150 pounds, while the cop is a foot taller and 100 pounds heavier.

Asbury Park Police Inspector Thomas McDonald said Bradforth is currently on suspension for “unrelated personnel issues.”
