After an eight year hiatus Maxwell’s Black Summer’s Night has moved 316, 499 units in its debut week! This is Maxwell’s highest debut as an artist and one of the highest of the year. The singer’s last set, 2001’s “Now,” also opened at No. 1 with a then-best 296,000 copies sold.
