Lil Kim is fighting back against those who are writing her off because of her recent feud with Nicki Minaj and the confusion surrounding the release of her Black Friday mixtape. Kim says that she’s just having some fun.
“I’ve been there done that, I know where things like this can lead,” Kim said an interview with Rap-Up.com when asked if her beef with Nicki could go further than trading diss records. “People gotta know that I’m not stupid, but I’m having fun. I’m protecting my brand and my empire at this moment. If this situation is deeper than what everybody would like to think it is, then it will all come to light. I’m a strong believer in how I conducted my strategy with this whole situation.”
But what about her Black Friday mixtape?
Kim didn’t speak about her controversial method of distributing the mixtape, but she did let everyone know what to expect once they hear it. “You can feel the spirit of Hard Core on “Black Friday” and the spirit of the new Kim on “Black Friday” as well,” Kim said.
And in true Kim fashion, she managed to throw out a diss towards Foxy Brown when asked if she heard Brown’s “Massacre” record which took aim at Kim. “I don’t think she heard it. I don’t even—I couldn’t even—you know what, next question.”
