RhymefestChe “Rhymefest” Smith has made it to a run-off election for a Chicago City Council seat.  The Chicago-based rapper received 20 percent of the votes in yesterday’s election.

‘Fest’s opponent, incumbent Alderman Willie Cochran, received 46 percent of the vote.  Since neither candidate received more than 50 percent of the votes, the top two candidates, Cochran & Rhymefest, move to a runoff election.
