Bow Wow Vs. Romeo. Who has made a better transition from child star to adulthood? “Making more than your dad,” I think was the comment Bow Wow shot at Romeo on his 2006 “Fresh As I’m Iz.” Now that the two have grown up, I think we can put the battle in full gear.
Bow Wow and Romeo both hit the music scene at the same time so it made sense for the two to fight over who would be the hottest young rap star. Bow Wow had a pretty good advantage being mentored by Snoop Dogg and having his music career land in the hands of Jermaine Dupri. Romeo was no different being that Master P. is his father.
The Two have had more than a pretty good run. Taking on acting, fashion sports and more. Bow Wow starred in Tyler Perry’s blockbuster Madea’s Big Happy Family. He has also tried his hand at fashion with his clothing line Shago. Romeo competed on ABC’s Dancing with the stars, starred in the movie Jumping The Broom, and launched his very own clothing line “College Boyzz.”
Bow Wow and Romeo are still hot topics on the urban blogs. You can still get the latest gossip on Bow Wow or his latest mixtape. Romeo on the other hand has become eye candy for the ladies. Bow Wow has tried to hold his title as Mr. 106 and Park and prove he’s underrated, but Romeo took a break from rapping, went to attend college and play basketball, but has recently put that to rest to pick up where his father left off. He will be running the new No Limit Records.
Bow Wow with out a doubt has the best music and film career so far. However, we have seen Bow Wow make some major mistakes with his behavior and the choices he has made with his career in the past few years. Bow Wow has been caught up in drama with industry groupie like Kat Stacks and countless hip hop beefs. Romeo may not have as many hits or blockbuster movies as Bow Wow but we have seen him grow into a responsible young man. We have yet to see Romeo spin out of control.
So, I ask you the viewers, who has made the better transition from child star to adult?
