Things got slightly heated on the field yesterday after The 49ers beat The Lions, 25-19. Coaches Jim Schwartz and Jim Harbaugh almost came to blows after Schwartz “Went to congratulate Coach Harbaugh and got shoved out of the way, [he]didn’t expect an obscenity at that point, so it was a surprise to me at the end of the game,” explained Schwartz. Each coach’s team came to their side to assist in breaking up the feud.
“Coaches are competitive, too. They’re like football players,” “And this was an emotional game. It came down to the last minute. They were 5-0, and we came in there and took it from them. That can get very emotional. Things happen, words are exchanged. I can see why it happened.” says 49ers tight end Delanie Walker.
