Pittsburg’s DJ Bonics gives new meaning to the phrase ‘put your heart into it…’ literally. Having survived a near-fatal heart attack at just barely 30-years old, the official tour DJ for Wiz Khalifa understands that his blessings are not to be taken for granted.

Starting to DJ in college, Bonics paid his dues and eventually made his way to 96.1 Kiss FM and soon worked his way up to Music Director / Mixshow / Imaging director for the Clearchannel station. Despite his accolades, Bonics wasn’t happy with his situation. So when a young local rapper whom he had seen evolve from a 14-year-old kid into one of the hottest up-and-coming artists in the ‘Burg named Wiz Khalifa started his run, Bonics quit his job and went on the road with him.

The decision turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to him and he has since been all around the world from the Super Bowl and Coachella to the Grammys. Today Bonics is back on the radio, still touring with Wiz and he’s focused on the second chance he received and doesn’t plan on wasting one minute.

“I want to give back and let our generation know to be aware of their health…and follow their hearts…that’s really important to me,” he says. “Everything I’ve done up til now is only episode one. People ain’t seen nuthin yet!”
