Yasiin Bey, formerly known as Mos Def, wanted to commemorate the anniversary of Malcolm X’s death by releasing a video to his freestyle “Niggas In Poorest.” Taking Jay-Z and Kanye West’s ode to excess “N*ggas In Paris” Bey uses the opportunity to rep for the have-nots.
