Former Basketball player Antoine Walker’s 2006 NBA Championship ring has sold for $21,500. While the amount of money the ring fetched is nice, Walker won’t get to enjoy it because he was forced to sell his championship ring in efforts to be done with his bankruptcy case.
Walker, who won the ring as part of the Miami Heat in 2006, filed for bankruptcy in 2010. He maintained he owed more $12.7 million in bills, despite only having $4 million in assets. Walker had to liquidate his possessions to repay creditors. Andres Garcia dropped the $21,500 for the ring, but hasn’t received it because a judge must sign off on the transaction before anything can exchange hands.
