R&B superstar Keith Sweat thought he was off the hook for paying for a house that’s been foreclosed on and sold. The mortgage company foreclosed on Sweat’s Detroit home which he bought in 2004 and sold it. Unfortunately for the singer, he still has debt to pay off concerning the property.

PMI Mortgage filed a lawsuit against Sweat in Georgia claiming he defaulted on a $450,000 house note on his Detroit home. The company foreclosed the house and sold it. However, the house was underwater when it was sold, so it only sold for a fraction of the cost. Sweat’s home was bought for a mere $200,000 and the mortgage company is looking to recoup the remainder by seeking to place a lien on Sweat’s Georgia home.
