Though New Orleans is seven years removed from Hurricane Katrina, there is still work to be done. Hidden Beach trombone player Jeff Bradshaw is doing his part to make sure you are aware his hometown of New Orleans still needs the country’s assistance. In effort to help the still damaged city, Bradshaw recruited Marsha Ambrosius and Christian rap artist TWyse for a cover of Janet Jackson’s 1997 hit “Got Til it’s Gone.”

All proceeds from Jeff Bradshaw’s version will go to The New Orleans Musician’s Relief Fund. The New Orleans Relief Fund aims to provide displaced musicians grants while maintaining the musical legacy New Orleans’ rich history has created. Jeff Bradshaw commented, “I wanted to remind everyone that there is still work to be done in New Orleans. People think some years have gone by and everything is cool. But, ‘no, things are not cool!’ They are a long way from being back to normal.”

The video for “Got Til It’s Gone” was shot in Musician’s Village and the Lower Ninth Ward. Marsha Ambrosius labeled the shoot “very emotional.” VH1 will air the video today (March 26th) every hour on the hour in effort to get their viewers involved.
