The victory of the Kentucky Wild Cats over the Kansas City Jay Hawks was marred by fan violence after the game. One man was wounded by gunfire early Tuesday in Lexington, numerous small fires were set and dozens were arrested as thousands celebrated Kentucky’s 67 to 59 win over Kansas to claim their eighth NCAA title.

According to ESPN, no arrests had been made in the shooting, which happened shortly after 2 a.m. ET. The gunman disappeared into the crowd and behind some buildings, and police could not locate him, Roberts said. The man who was shot has had his foot amputated by doctors.
