Things have been largely quiet for ex-Destiny’s Child member, LaTavia Roberson, since she was unceremoniously booted from the group. We heard little things here and there. Say when she and fellow original member LeToya Luckett had their own girl group, Anjel, that ultimately didn’t last. Or last season of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, where admitted to attorney and co-star Phaedra Parks that she turned to alcohol to deal with her post-DC life. However, it seems LaTavia is ready to talk again, and judging from her new interview with Kempire Radio, she has a lot to say.

A preview of the Q&A:

Were you surprised when you heard the rumor about Beyoncé releasing Mathew as her manager over business-related issues?

[deep sigh] No. I don’t even know what else to say. I hate that . . .  when I got wind that that had happened I felt sad . . .  for my friend.

Do you still get royalties from Destiny’s Child?

I was a writer on both of the albums. I have Grammy’s for being a writer on ‘Say My Name’ . . .  So, definitely. Because of my writing, yes I do.

We thought we would see more of you on The Real Housewives of Atlanta. Were we supposed to?

For whatever reason that didn’t happen. There’s not really much more I can say about why I didn’t come back on the housewives. It just didn’t fall through. I guess it wasn’t in God’s plans.

Here’s a clip of LaTavia in a recent photo shoot:
