When Evelyn Lozada’s assistant slapped the hell out of Jennifer Williams, she couldn’t have known the turn of events she set in motion.

Monday’s episode of Basketball Wives featured the slap heard around Black Twitter. The moment the altercation between Jennifer and Evelyn’s assistant Nia Crooks aired, it was reported Jennifer Williams filed a lawsuit for assault and emotional distress. Because of her lawsuit, other cast members are refusing to shoot the upcoming reunion show.

According to Jennifer’s suit, she claims she was hurt badly when Nia popped her. The rest of the cast doesn’t believe her. They’re convinced Williams filed the suit to stir up some drama around her character on the show. The cast thinks Williams is trying to stir up a storyline around her character so show producers won’t replace her. Jennifer’s claims of emotional distress are also falling on deaf ears because everyone says she never missed a day of shooting after the attack.

Most of the cast were adamant about refusing to speak to Jennifer and vow to be absent at the reunion show if Jennifer attends. Another reason the cast is because there’s a clause in their contract that clearly states, “Participant expressly assumes the risk of any physical or emotional injuries participant may suffer as a result of participant’s participation in the project.”

Basically, the rest of the cast wants Jennifer to sit her crybaby self down somewhere.
