As much as Floyd Mayweather acts like he is, his jail stay has proven he isn’t about that life.

The boxing champ’s team of lawyers are asking the court to allow Mayweather to complete his 89 day sentence under house arrest. Mayweather’s attorneys are claiming serving time in jail is going to ruin Floyd’s boxing career. Though it’s hard to have sympathy for a boxer who is serving jail time for domestic violence stemming from an altercation between him and his baby’s mother, The Money Team leader’s legal squad is hoping to appeal to the judge’s humane side.

Currently Mayweather is being kept in solitary confinement where he sits in his cell for 23 hours of the day. The court says solitary confinement is for his own protection, but Mayweather’s lawyers are calling it cruel and inhumane punishment. Mayweather’s camp also believes he isn’t getting the right food or right amount of exercise because of his imprisonment. In court documents, Floyd’s lawyers said, “Any lengthy period of time with an inappropriate diet, coupled with lack of regular exercise, will most likely lead to irreversible damage to Mr. Mayweather’s physique.”

Should Mayweather be allowed to train for future boxing matches while he’s supposed to be serving time for beating up a woman? Should Mayweather get special treatment in jail or should he just be quiet and serve his time like everybody else? tell us what you think below.
