Do you think you’re a slave to fashion? Well Adidas has a shoe for you! The popular footwear and apparel company has sparked outrage with the promotion of a sneaker with orange shackles attached to them.
The JS Roundhouse Mids have bright orange ‘shackles’ that fit around wearer’s ankles and are promoted with the tagline: ‘Got a sneaker game so hot you lock your kicks to your ankles?”

Critics of the shoe say it is reminiscent of chains worn by African slaves and prisoners. (Does the JS stand for “Just Slaves” or “Jail Shoes”?) However, no one has commented on how ugly the shoes are.
