New Jersey rapper Redman is known for bringing that rambunctious energy to any song he guests on. He is also lauded for a few of his solo projects. One of the most beloved Redman set is Muddy Waters. Twenty years after first entering the rap game, Redman announced he will be releasing Muddy Waters 2: Even Muddier.

The legendary rap star officially announced the new album on his Twitter page. There, he tweeted,  “We about to start the Redman 20th Year Anniversary Campaign !! Muddy Waters 2 n progress!! Be a part of it!!” Some promotional artwork was sent along with the tweet. The artwork is in the true Redman style. It’s the typical hip-hop with graffiti and a blurry graffiti image of Redman, but as is his normal routine, the artwork is a little off-kilter.

For those who weren’t messing with Redman until after he and Method Man dropped “Da Rockwilder,” the original Muddy Waters was unleashed on the public in December of 1996. Muddy Waters housed the Erick Sermon produced “Whateva Man,” which was made famous by the Blues Brothers parody video.

As a fan of hip-hop, does the news of Redman’s new album have you hyped? Let us know.
