Two and a half decades ago Capcom changed the lives of video game fans forever when they released the game Street Fighter in 1987.  The head-to-head fighter was a modest hit until the sequel, “Street Fighter II”, was released in 1991. Once denizens of the arcades got the hang of the button press and joystick movements needed to make their favorite World Warriors inflict maximum amounts of damage a cult following was born.

Honda and Blanka the classic SF characters became embedded in the lexicon of rappers eager for new ways to express how they dismantle opponents.  In celebration of StreetFighter25 we’ve listed one for each year of Street Fighter’s awesomeness with some help from the folks at Rapgenius.com.
