Nate Dogg’s Estate Gets New Executors, Plus New Album Coming

The fight over Nate Dogg’s estate has been settled. The singer, who didn’t leave a will behind when he passed, had his estate taken control of by his wife, LaToya Calvin, while his mother, Ruth Homes, was appointed as co-administrator.

Nate’s children didn’t take kindly to that, reportedly understand the impress that “the women were only in it for selfish, money-grubbing reasons and had no intention of dividing the goods fairly.” TMZ now says that LaToya withdrew her petition for control earlier this month. Her lawyer told the site, “Nate’s children wanted a ‘professional administration’ and Ruth and LaToya decided to withdraw to avoid conflict with the children.”

Apparently Nate’s kids are “ecstatic” with this resolution. I bet. Meanwhile, there’s a posthumous Nate Dogg album on the horizon.

Representatives confirmed the label will be dropping a new album by Nate Dogg titled Nate Dogg: It’s A Wonderful Life.

Nate Dogg: It’s A Wonderful Life will feature all of the unreleased material recorded by Nate Dogg, in addition to collaborations with artists like Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Jay-Z.
