Grammy-winning rapper/producer RZA will be adding another notch on his acting belt. RZA has just been cast in a Fox pilot called “Gang Related.”

The show is a crime drama that centers around a guy named Ryan Lopez who is a gang member chosen to infiltrate the San Francisco police force. As Lopez rises through the police force’s ranks, he will have to choose between loyalty to his old gang and to his new family which is the Gang Task Force.
RZA will play Cassius. Cassius is Ryan Lopez’s partner when he joins the Gang Task Force. Cassius joined the San Francisco Police Department after a person he is in love with is killed and nothing is done to bring the killer to justice. Cassius notices his community couldn’t care less about his paramour’s death and he seeks to find justice in a place that’s seemed to lose sight of what the word actually means.
Although little is known about the upcoming pilot, it has been reported that Allen Hughes will direct the pilot episode.
