When Barack Obama was elected to the White House in 2008, there were tears of joy flowing out of the eyes of the Black community. It was the first time a black man had been elected to the highest office in the country and it was our chance to shine. Legendary actor Morgan Freeman was excited, but he made sure we saw a black man in the White House ten years before Obama in the film “Deep Impact.”

Hot on the promotional trail for his new film “Olympus Has Fallen” where he once again takes the presidential office, Freeman spoke to The Urban Daily about truly being the first black man to be president of the United States of America. When we asked Morgan Freeman if he had to tap into his inner Barack Obama to play his part in the action thriller, he jokingly responded with, “I think Barack may have an inner Morgan. he’s almost half my age and I was in the White House first and he knows it.”

Want to find out if Morgan Freeman would make a better president than President Obama? Check out “Olympus Has Fallen” when it hits theaters Friday, March 22nd.
