Regina-King-Malcolm-Jamal-Warner

UPDATE:

Actress Regina King posted a response to the break-up rumors on her Twitter account stating that she and Malcolm Jamal-Warner “are good.”

“Hey everybody PLEASE don’t believe everything you read. Me & @MalcolmJamalWar are good. Life happens. Forward motion. Godspeed.”

Earlier reports on US Weekly stated that the couple had split and that King moved out of Warner’s home with her son.

“He said he wasn’t feeling it anymore,” a source told Us Weekly before adding, “she’s still very brokenhearted.”

In a 2011 interview with BET.com Warner explained why the two former child stars kept their romance out of the tabloids.

“I think Regina and I are both of the philosophy that we keep our private lives private. All relationships go through all kinds of peaks and valleys. And I think it’s unfortunate — when you live in the public eye, of course, your peaks and valleys are going to be heavily scrutinized. So we just kind of prefer to protect what we have going on because relationships are work, anyway. We don’t need the rest of the world in our Kool-Aid. So we like to protect what we have because it’s very special and very precious. We’d like to keep it out of everybody’s hands and visions. But I will say that it’s a relationship that makes all the sense in the world.”

King’s response still leaves some wondering if the story is only partially false or totally false. “Forward Motion” and “Life Happens” sound a lot like post-break up phrases but we’ll let this one be until we see the moving truck photos on TMZ.
