Now that’s he’s wrapped up the “Dark Knight” trilogy, Christopher Nolan takes on producing duties to bring another iconic DC superhero to life. “Man of Steel” heralds the return of our favorite Kryptonian, Superman. British actor Henry Cavill dons the infamous red and blue tights as the god-like superhero, with Russell Crowe as Jor-El and Kevin Costner as earth daddy Pa Kent.

After the absymal “Superman Returns”, this latest reboot wipes the slate clean, with an updated origins story. Zack Snyder (“300”, “Watchmen”) directs, with a screenplay written by David Goyer (“The Dark Knight”) and an all star cast including Amy Adams (Lois Lane), Michael Shannon (Zod), and Diane Lane (Ma Kent). Of interest, Laurence Fishburne will play Perry White, the editor-in-chief of The Daily Planet – a role traditionally cast with White actors.
