Wait What?! In recent travel hell news, according to Newser.com, the FAA is investigating an incident in which two planes came entirely too close for comfort to one another in the skies over New York City last week!  NBC 4 reports that on June 13, 2013 a near miss happened when a Delta 747 airplane missed its approach at JFK airport and was forced to circle around the airport again. During that time a Shuttle America Regional jet that had just taken off from LaGuardia Airport found itself only 200 feet apart from the Delta Flight that was trying to land at JFK Airport!

A federal official says,

“The two aircraft were turning away from each other at the point where they lost the required amount of separation.”

It’s still unclear as to why the Delta plane missed its original attempt at landing.

We don’t know about you but this just makes us jump at the chance to get on a plane! Yeah not really…but we sure hope they figure out what happened so that it doesn’t happen again!
