Legendary Bay Area rapper Too Short caught a serious break when it comes to the legal system. The “Blow the Whistle” rapper won’t receive any jail time in a DUI case.

Back in March, Too Short was pulled over for suspicion of DUI. During the field sobriety test, Too Short tried to make a run for it and wound up getting chased down. Once he was caught and taken into custody, police searched him and found Ecstasy in the back of the squad car he rode in. too Short denied being in possession of the pills. Despite the denial, cops charged him with possession of ecstasy on top of other charges like resisting arrest and a DUI.

Usually, if you’re a first time offender, you get a light sentence for a DUI. But props need to be given to Too Short’s attorney, Keith Davidson, because Too Short has a history of DUI arrests which means Too Short should be spending some time behind bars. However, Davidson had Too Short plead no contest to the DUI charge and in return every other charge was dropped. Instead of jail time, Too Short was sentenced to three years probation, ordered to pay fines, and must take drug and alcohol education classes.

Somebody find Keith Davidson’s number. All of Hip-Hop needs an attorney like that!
