What is “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.?” As ABC describes the 2013 midseason entry, it centers on a “small, highly select group of agents” who investigate the new, the strange, and the unknown across the globe, protecting the ordinary from the extraordinary.”
Reviewing the pilot episode of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D” for IGN.com, Eric Goldman seemed impressed with the partnership between ABC and Marvel Television. “After months of speculation about S.H.I.E.L.D., it was very gratifying to see that Whedon had plenty of surprises in store, managing to take the story and players in unexpected directions,” Goldman writes. “Several characters aren’t what they seem or reveal notable layers beyond what is first presented, while plenty of groundwork is set for the future.”

According to Poptimal.com, “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” isn’t just for comics nerds, and even folks not familiar with “The Avengers” or “Iron Man” will understand this new 2013 TV show.
