It appears that Drake’s upcoming album, “Nothing Was The Same” has sprung a leak and one of the first tracks to get cherry picked is the Jay Z assisted “Pound Cake.” Fresh on the back of the “Wu-Tang Forever” track, this a considerably less fluffy Drake despite the title.  Flaunting his trademark, “I’m-vulnerable-but-guarded” line of logic and flow he regales us with more tales of his not-so-new-found wealth (we’re going on year four with this theme) and the challenges it poses for him.

He gets Jay Z to ride shotgun for this one and Hov is taking more subliminal shots at somebody (“I had Benzes before you had braces…”) and not so subliminal (“we all made millions/Beans would tell you if he wasn’t all in his feelins…”  The bonus track “Paris Morton Music 2” is more of the same, but it’s what you expect, like that dish you keep ordering at your favorite spot.
