Aaron D. Spears has come a long way, and the D.C. native is ready to reveal the rocky journey he took to discover his passion. And it starts with fatherhood.

One of the things he takes the most pride in is being a father to his five kids. Though interesting, he loves the fact that another individual is relying on him for advice, money, upbringing, food, and shelter. “It humbles you in a way that no other thing that I’ve attempted has ever humbled me,” he reveals.

Prior to having kids, he claims he was “a little selfish,”  as he’d moved to California to be an actor, but became a teacher. He would later find this to be a blessing in disguise, because similar to being a parent, he was able to provide essential knowledge. “I wasn’t appreciative of having a job everyday. And then having adults that trust me with their children’s lives,” he said.

While he appreciates his career, it was a triumph just to get there, but like many others, Aaron realized his life’s calling while pursuing another passion. But none of that matters when you believe in yourself.

But first and foremost you have to believe,” says Aaron, “because if you don’t believe, why should anyone else?”
