Mona Scott-Young is in the process of expanding her “Love & Hip Hop” empire even further. The executive producer of the hit reality series is trying to start a series in the location of Los Angeles, but she’s having quite a bit of trouble.

“Love & Hip Hop” is looking for a big name to anchor their new series in L.A., but they still haven’t found them despite beginning filming later in the month. It was first reported that Ray J was to be the big name on the series, but his hosting duties on “Bad Girls Club All-Stars” have prevented him from signing the contract to be on the VH1 show.

Producers are now in dire need of a star and the search is proving more difficult than initially expected. However, there is a plan in place while the search for the star of the show continues. The producers are planning to shoot and develop the storylines of the smaller billed cast members while they look for the show’s star.

Some of the smaller billed celebrities are Brooke Valentine, who had a hit in 2005 with “Girl Fight.” Alongside Valentine will be video model Bria Myles, radio DJ Yesi Ortiz, and rapper Hazel-E.

We shall see what comes of this.
