It’s been 25 years since the pioneering Hip-Hop trio De La Soul impacted the world with the seminal debut album “3 Feet High and Rising.” In wake of the milestone, De La Soul will be giving away every single album they’ve ever made for free!

According to Rolling Stone Magazine, De La Soul’s entire music catalogue will be available for download for 25 hours on the group’s website starting Friday February 14th at 11 am. Group member Posdnuous told the mag, “It’s about allowing our fans who have been looking and trying to get a hold of  our music to have access to it. Its been too long where our fans haven’t had access to everything. This is our  way of showing them how much we love them.”

The buffet of free music is just the beginning in a long stream of music. De La Soul is also working on a new album titled “You’re Welcome” which will be the trio’s first proper project since 2004’s “The Grind Date.” There will be new songs posted to the group website in the coming weeks. In conjunction with Pete Rock and DJ Premier, there will be a six-song EP hitting the net called “Preemium Soul on the Rocks.” In what is sure to harbor much sentimental value, De La Soul is in the midst of planning a trip to Detroit to do some work on a tucked away J Dilla beat. “Dilla was the Tupac of producers,” Pos said to the music publication, “He has so many unreleased things that no one has heard. His family knows how  vital and important an ingredient his music was to our work.”

Don’t say they never gave you anything!
