Where is Tasha Marbury from? Tasha Marbury is from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where she grew up the oldest of three siblings. The future “Basketball Wives” cast member and wife of superstar baller Stephon Marbury attended her hometown’s Carver High School before heading to Raleigh to study at at N.C. State University. Tasha graduated in 1998 with a degree in zoology, and she later grabbed a degree nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Sports fans may have started asking, “Where is Tasha Marbury from? in 1999, when the North Carolina native married Stephon Marbury, then an NBA star signed with the New Jersey Nets. He’d previously played with the Minnesota Timberwolves, and after Jersey, he served stints with the Boston Celtics and New York Knicks, among other teams. Since 2010, Stephon has played in the Chinese Basketball Association, and in 2012, he won a championship with the Beijing Ducks. He’s been somewhat less triumphant as a husband, though, and on season 5 of the Vh1 series “Basketball Wives,” part of Tasha’s storyline centered on her husband’s infidelity.

Where is Tasha Marbury from? Not a place where they teach people to sweep their problems under the rug, evidently. Asked by fellow “Basketball Wives” cast member Susie Ketcham whether Stephon had, in fact, slept with one of their employees, as many had alleged, Tasha dished the straight dirt. “It’s a true story…It happened,” she said. “It’s over with. It’s in the past. Things happen.”

She may be a forgiver, but she’s no pushover. Where is Tasha Marbury from? A place where women learn to make their own choices. In an interview with Madame Noire, she explained her decision to appear on “Basketball Wives,” even though her hubby was against the idea.

“To be quite honest, he wasn’t very happy about it because the show had such a bad reputation,” she said. “He was totally against it. Once I decided to do the show, I just told him, ‘There’s nothing you can really say or do to change my mind.’ When I told him I had signed the contract, he was leaving to go to China. So, once he’s in China, there’s nothing that can be done.”
