According to CNN, a pregnant Florida woman named Ebony Wilkerson is accused of purposefully driving her minivan into the Atlantic Ocean with her three young children inside and was arrested Friday on three counts of attempted first-degree murder.
Said Volusia County Sheriff Ben Johnson,
“Investigators say they think Ebony Wilkerson was trying to kill her children ages 3, 9 and 10 when she drove into the surf Tuesday in Daytona Beach. She actually told them to close their eyes and go to sleep, she was taking them to a better place.”

Our hearts go out to those babies…and we pray they will get the help that they are desperately going to need now. We commend Wilkerson’s sister for trying to get her help before the incident took place. Sometimes unfortunately no matter how loud we yell and scream…people simply can’t hear us. The sister definitely tried to do the right thing…she just wasn’t heard when she did.
