Has Fabolous ever been arrested? Yes, Fabolous has been arrested at least three times, according to various online sources. In January 2003, Billboard reports, the Brooklyn rapper was arrested twice in the same week, first for driving in Manhattan with a suspended license and then for riding in a car filled with firearms in his native BK neighborhood of Bed-Stuy. A few years later, in October 2006, MTV reports, Fab was arrested shortly after being shot in the leg in a Manhattan parking garage. The famed rhymer had just left Diddy’s downtown restaurant Justin’s, and after the attack, he and three other men sped off in a Dodge Magnum, running a red light and drawing the attention of the law.

After that third arrest, Fabolous was taken to a local hospital, where he was treated for his leg wounds. A few years after that, in June 2010, news broke that the NYPD was looking at Fabolous as a possible suspect in the slaying of rapper G-Baby, since Fab was spotted leaving the NYC nightspot Club Amazura shortly before the fatal shooting. Fab was never arrested for the murder, and the incident doesn’t seem to have left much of a black mark on his career.

In fact, none of Fabolous’ three aforementioned arrests have earned him a reputation for being one of the more wild or dangerous rappers in the game, and other MCs have rap sheets far longer. Born John David Jackson on Nov. 18, 1977, Fabolous remains best known for his music, and since making his debut with 2001’s “Ghetto Fabolous,” he’s dropped a string of successful albums. His most recent, 2009’s “Loso’s Way,” topped the Billboard 200, and in 2014, he’s expected to drop a sequel: “Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power.” Fabolous has sold more than 3 million records in the United States alone, and he’s said to be worth a cool $20 million.
