How tall is Fabolous? Fabolous stands 5 feet, 11 inches tall, according to various online sources. That above-average height measurement seems about right for the Brooklyn rapper, who was born John David Jackson on November 18, 1977. Fabolous grew up in the Breevort Houses projects of his NYC borough’s Bed-Stuy neighborhood, and he got his start rapping in high school. In 1998, DJ Clue tapped him to freestyle on his influential radio show, and that paved the way for a recording career that’s spanned five studio albums and counting.

Fabolous’ height measurement might not make him the tallest rapper of all time — to the extent he counts, Shaquille O’Neal checks in at 7 foot, 1 inch — but in terms of influence and fame, he’s pretty giant. Fabolous made his debut with the 2001 album “Ghetto Fabolous,” which debuted at no. 4 on the Billboard 200, and he’s followed that LP with four more that have made the top 10. His most recent, 2009’s “Loso’s Way,” topped the charts, so it figures that his forthcoming sixth album is titled “Loso’s Way 2: Rise to Power.”

How tall is Fabolous compared to other rappers that aren’t also former NBA basketball players, like Shaq? Fab’s 5-foot, 11-inch frame makes him shorter than Drake, Jay Z, and 2 Chainz. Those guys stand 6 feet; 6 feet, 2 inches; and 6 feet, 5 inches, respectively. Fabolous is, however, taller than Lil Wayne and Eminem, who stand 5 feet, 6 inches, and 5 feet, 8 inches, respectively. Clearly, a rapper’s height has no bearing on his abilities, as Weezy and Em are two of the genre’s greats, but having a bit of height advantage can’t hurt, and if Fabolous ever plays one-on-one b-ball against Wayne and Slim Shady, he might have an easy time under the boards.

Fabolous has added to his stature — figuratively speaking — by making cameos on reality TV, as he’s in a longterm relationship with Emily Bustamante, one of the stars of Vh1’s “Love & Hip Hop.”
