Has Justin Bieber ever been arrested? Yes, Justin Bieber has been arrested, and in fact, in January 2014, the Canadian pop star found himself under arrest twice in the same week. As CBS reports, Bieber surrendered to Toronto Police on January 29, roughly a month after he allegedly assaulted a limousine driver. According to reports, Bieber and his crew called for a limo on their way home from a nightclub on Dec. 30, 2013, and at some point, an altercation broke out between the singer’s entourage and the man behind the wheel.

“The driver stopped the limousine, exited the vehicle and called police,” according to a police statement. “The man who struck him left the scene before police arrived.”

Justin Bieber’s assault arrest in Toronto came just days after he was picked up by police in Miami for drag racing and driving under the influence. While Bieber’s blood-alcohol level at the time of the incident wasn’t released, Florida law holds minors to extremely strict standards, and since the then-19-year-old singer weights a mere 140 pounds, he could likely reach an illegal level with just one drink, CBS reports.

Bieber’s attorney entered a not-guilty plea following the Miami incident, which also involved the R&B singer Khalil Amir Sharieff. Bieber’s Florida arrest came at a bad time, as the “Baby” singer was already under investigation for a Jan. 14 egg-throwing incident in Los Angeles. Bieber is said to have vandalized his neighbor’s home and caused damage to the tune of $20,999.

Those two arrests followed a string of high-profile run-ins with the law, and in 2013, German authorities handed down a hefty fine after seizing a pet monkey Bieber had failed to have properly vaccinated. He also made headlines for clashing with photographers, smoking marijuana on camera, and vandalizing a photographer of former U.S. President Bill Clinton in a New York City restaurant.
