Google is not giving up on trying to convince the public that their Google glasses are a necessity in our everyday lives. After the company pulled them off the market, Google has put them back up for sale. Google is selling the $1,500 specs as the “explorer edition” so they can make room for the “real” consumer version i their inventory.

The tech firm first announced a 24 hour sale of the product last month. However, the plans were leaked and the Google Glass sold out within two hours. The product found its way back online for people to use in an ‘open beta’ format. When Google found out their initial plans had gotten out, they released a statement, “Whoops. So… we’d planned to post this next week, but it looks like the cat’s out of the bag now. Over the past several months, we’ve been trying out different ways to expand the Explorer program. ‘Our Explorers are moms, bakers, surgeons, rockers, and each new Explorer has brought a new perspective that is making Glass better. But every day we get requests from those of you who haven’t found a way into the program yet, and we want your feedback too. So in typical Explorer Program fashion, we’re trying something new.”

If you cop the Google device, the company will throw in a sunglasses shade or one of the new prescript glasses frames. People who have and will shell out the $1,500 for the device are apart of the developmental process. The consumer can exchange ideas and make suggestions with Google about the product. On top of that, members of the Explorer Program are being encouraged to invite three friends to join as well.

Don’t you want to tell Google what to do? Well, fork over $1,500 and the Google Glasses and the ability to give feed back is yours. What will you do with all that power?
