Rihanna shocked fans all over the world Monday evening in a sheer dress as she walked the red carpet for the CFDA Awards in which she was being honored as a fashion icon. Unfortunately, many were offended by the 26 year-old’s revealing dress– many, including Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins and Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas from TLC.

“Every time I see you, you don’t have to be naked.”

In an interview with Channel 7’s “Sunrise,” a morning show in Australia, the dynamic duo called the Bajan beauty out on her provocative appearance before explaining that they did not need to use their sex appeal to sell records.

“We became the biggest girl selling group of all time with our clothes on and that says a lot,” said Chilli.

Check out this clip of TLC throwing shade at Rihanna below.

Known for her slick responses (which often result in cyber bullying), Rihanna changed her Twitter header and avatar to show that she was unbothered and merely just following the path that those before her (mainly TLC, in this case) had made for her. She also replied to the situation at hand discretely on Twitter.

Yikes! Rihanna isn’t backing down here.

Sound off: What do you think of this situation? Are Rihanna’s overly sexy ways to blame or should TLC just sit back and watch as sex appeal prevails?
