Popular 90s rapper Sir Mix-A-Lot is more known for his popular hit “Baby Got Back” than being from Seattle, Washington. Well, the portly rapper joined forces with the Seattle Symphony for a special performance of Mix-A-Lot’s signature song.

Sir Mix-A-Lot was a guest at the Seattle Symphony’s Sonic Evolution event. The Sonic Evolution is a project that looks to “bridge the gap between the Symphony and Seattle’s storied reputation as a launching pad for some of the most creative musicians on the popular music scene.”

When Sir Mix-A-Lot first began speaking, he said, “What I want to do now is something you really should not do. Tonight is orchestral movements from the hood night.”
