After using X-ray imaging to confirm that the produce was in fact fruit, it was discovered that they were actually leaves. The Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) took custody of what is believed to be millions of dollars in marijuana.

According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection agent Bryan Flowers this is not the first time fruit has been used to disguise drugs:

“These criminals use a lot of unique ways to try to conceal their narcotics. We’ve seen individuals use false compartments in the seats and gas tanks.  We’ve also found marijuana in tractor trailers here before.”

The trailer tractor and driver are also in custody.
